It is imperative
that AID Indonesia
provide appropriate, quality healthcare to the disadvantaged in our care.
This will mean that
all individuals under our care will require a complete health assessment prior
to them living at House of Hope.
Where necessary,
they will be provided with treatment such as immunisations and monitoring of
other conditions that will either be detrimental to their health or to others
at the centres.
It is the intention
to utilize local health care services in the short term, however the potential
to build a healthcare facility to cater for both the children in our care and
surrounding community if the need arises.
At present we are
fortunate to have the services of a local dentist free of charge every month
that has greatly improved the health of our children’s teeth.
Later in the year we
have two Doctors who have volunteered to visit from Australia and conduct free medical
care for our children, the local community, the near-by Leper Colony and also
local hospitals.
Any further medical
teams would be welcomed and you can express your interest by emailing info@aidindonesia.org.au
