Mike and Ann Hill live in AdelaideSouth
Australia. While travelling on Long Service Leave
they were confronted with the great needs of children in Asia.
They witnessed first hand the terrible effects of children being discarded and
abused with no hope for a future, children that had no existence other than
what they could salvage from the streets were they lived. They saw children
that had no opportunity to receive an education and thus change their future.
As people with compassionate
hearts they decided to take on the challenge of providing care for children
that had been abandoned or orphaned. As a result of this Aid Indonesia was birthed. The first stage of their venture has
enabled the rescuing of Tsunami affected children as well as children that have
been orphaned from various parts of Indonesia.
When asked why they are
involved in this work they clearly state: “ the need is overwhelming and we
can’t rescue all children everywherebut
we can accept the challenge to make a difference to the children we are able to
help”.
